Tuesday is the scheduled meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security.

On the recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq called a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security on Tuesday.

There will be an in-camera briefing on the security situation during the Parliamentary Committee on National Security meeting, according to sources. The parliamentary committee will be briefed by the military leadership on the nation’s current security posture during the meeting.

According to sources, the meeting will take place in the National Assembly hall at 1:30 p.m. The legislative Committee on National Security meeting will be attended by the legislative leaders of each of the political parties represented in parliament as well as their designated representatives.

The current state of national security will be briefed, and federal cabinet members will also be present.
