After Iran-Israel missile launches, PIA stops using Iranian airspace.

Iran’s airspace would not be used until the situation calms down, an airline representative stated, adding that flight arrangements are being adjusted.

PIA uses the Northern Corridor to reach Canada and Turkey and the Southern Corridor to reach the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Doha, and Saudi Arabia.

Israel and Jordan have also restricted commercial aircraft access to their airspace due of the intensifying war.

As worries about the conflict mount, a number of foreign airlines have halted service to Israel and Lebanon.

In the meantime, Pakistan Air Traffic Control (ATC) has received fresh instructions from the country’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to bolster airspace surveillance.

ATC has reportedly been directed to closely monitor every aircraft entering Pakistan through the airspaces of Iran and Afghanistan.

Given the dynamic nature of the geopolitical landscape, the CAA has issued a directive requiring rigorous examination of any aircraft that approaches Pakistani airspace.

This action is part of Pakistan’s efforts to protect its airspace and uphold regional security amid the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran.
