Ahsan Bhoon was chosen to serve as a JCP member for two years.

The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has welcomed senior attorney Ahsan Bhoon as a new member for a two-year term. Bhoon will attend the commission as the Pakistan Bar Council’s representative.
The appointment of Ahsan Bhoon to the Judicial Commission of Pakistan has been authorised by the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). He took Akhtar Hussain’s place after the latter resigned earlier this week.
One member abstained from voting, four members opposed Ahsan Bhoon’s nomination, and the central and provincial members of the Pakistan Bar Council took part in the voting process, in which Bhoon received 14 votes.
