Ahsan calls for composure and promises to use diplomacy to address the AJK issue.

Ahsan Iqbal, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, has voiced hope that the Joint Action Committee (JAC) will engage in constructive engagement to find a peaceful solution to the current problem in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

He added in a televised media appearance that a high-level government team had been to Muzaffarabad at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s orders to negotiate with the JAC leadership in order to address their issues and find a peaceful, amicable solution.

Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that economic revival depended on preserving peace and stability in AJK and the rest of the nation.

The minister issued a warning that the nation’s reputation was negatively impacted when protest-related and disturbance-related photographs were shared on social media.

He noted that such acts were a component of hybrid warfare in the modern world, where a nation’s reputation might be damaged internationally by taking advantage of domestic discontent.

In the same way that the Pakistani nation had struggled for the cause of Kashmir, the minister observed that the people of AJK were extremely patriotic and had made tremendous sacrifices for Pakistan. “This bond cannot be weakened by anyone,” he declared.

He urged the JAC leadership and the people of AJK to consider the current regional and global context and expressed hope that the matter would be settled amicably.

He claimed that while Pakistan has made great strides toward establishing peace in its region, the rest of the globe was already dealing with a number of problems.

“Our adversary would try to take advantage of any internal turmoil without wasting any time at all. Thus, we must avoid starting any fire that can harm Pakistan’s reputation, incite instability, or endanger people’s lives or property,” Ahsan Iqbal emphasized.

He reiterated the government’s resolve, saying that all AJK residents and Pakistanis were valued by the state and that it was everyone’s duty to safeguard them.

He emphasized that the best way to settle problems was through conversation and peaceful ways, and he expressed confidence that, insha’Allah, this would be accomplished.
