Amjad Islam Amjad’s First Death Anniversary Is Being Remembered
Today marks the first anniversary of the passing of the well-known dramatist, poet, and literary icon Amjad Islam Amjad.
On August 4, 1944, Amjad Islam Amjad was born in Lahore. He made significant contributions to poetry and play.
Throughout his career, Amjad Islam wrote more than 40 novels.
For his literary works, he was honoured with several accolades, including Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Pride of Performance.
He authored several highly renowned TV programmes for PTV, including Inkaar, Waris, Dehleez, Samandar, Waqt, Fishaar, Raat, Din, and Eendhen.
In addition, he authored a few plays for young audiences, such as Daal Mei Kala, Bahadur Shehzada, and Jadu Ki Sheeshi.
On this day last year, in Lahore, Amjad Islam Amjad died dead after a heart attack.
