An agreement has been signed to enhance the development of cricket at the grassroots level.
To promote the game of cricket at the grassroots level, the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC), Capital Development Authority (CDA), Higher Education Commission (HEC), and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Honorary guests at the ceremony included Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Minister of Federal Education & Professional Training, and Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Chairman PCB and Federal Minister for Interior.
The partnership seeks to find and develop young cricket talent in Pakistani schools and institutions.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, university cricket will start in September, with school and college cricket competitions to follow in October and November, respectively.
“We will all work together for the betterment of cricket, and the outcomes will be very beneficial for the game,” Mohsin Raza Naqvi said during his speech on the occasion.
According to Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, schools should be the birthplace of leadership, underscoring the significance of sports from a grassroots perspective. He continued, “We’ll start at the school level and work our way up.”
