An arrest warrant for Aurangzeb Farooqi without bail has been issued.
Farooqi, whose name appears in the Fourth Schedule, has been relocating outside the city without informing authorities, as is required by law, according to police.
A case was filed at Shah Latif Police Station against him due to the infractions.
By December 12, the ATC has instructed authorities to detain Aurangzeb Farooqi and bring him before the court.
The people on the Fourth Schedule are being watched for possible involvement in actions that could interfere with law and order. Farooqi is alleged to have disregarded the restrictions imposed upon him.
The Fourth Schedule
The Fourth Schedule is a list of prohibited persons suspected of being involved in terrorism and/or sectarianism under Section 11EE of the ATA, which stipulates that the government may recommend a person’s name for the Fourth Schedule whenever it learns that the person is connected to an organization under surveillance.
Although it can be extended if necessary, a suspect’s name is typically listed on the Fourth Schedule for a period of three years.
