An earthquake shakes Swat and the surrounding territories.

In the early hours of Friday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 rocked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Swat and surrounding regions.

In a panic, people began reciting passages from the Holy Quran as they emerged from their houses. There have been no reports of fatalities or property damage from anywhere in Swat.

The regions of Shangla and Malakand also experienced the earthquakes.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad reports that the epicenter of the earthquake was 21 kilometers deep, close to Swat.
