An unintentional shooting at the governor’s home in Balochistan injured five people.

An unintentional shooting incident at the home of Sheikh Jaafar Khan Mandokhel, the governor of Balochistan, on Friday left five persons hurt.
The event happened when a police officer accidentally fired his weapon when he was outside the governor’s private mansion.
The police claim that the officer accidently pulled the trigger, causing the rifle to discharge, while trying to extract a lodged round from the chamber. Several bullets were fired because the gun was in burst mode. Two police policemen and three Government Boys Degree College students were hurt in the incident.
The pupils were brought right away to Zhob Civil Hospital when they were at the residence meeting the governor.
According to medical officials, the students had surgery and were in stable condition. Following initial medical care, the two police officers were released from the hospital with minor injuries.
The shooting was inadvertent and the result of a technical error made by the officer while he was trying to clear the weapon, according to SP Shaukat Mehmood, the district head of Zhob Police.
According to an officer, he and the DSP barely avoided harm since the rifle was aimed at the ground when it was fired, minimizing possible harm.
At the “Janan House,” where approximately 100 students from Government Degree College Zhob were present, the shooting occurred.
Governor Jaafar Khan Mandokhel visited the hospital to see the injured students and conveyed his profound sadness over the situation.
He guaranteed that the pupils would receive complete academic and financial support and pledged to pay for any medical costs. “This is a deeply unfortunate event, and we are committed to providing all possible assistance to the injured students,” he stated.
The Governor responded to the incident by ordering a review of security procedures, directing that all security staff receive further training, and directing that all weapons be thoroughly inspected in order to prevent future incidents of this kind.
