Application deadline for Hajj 2025 is tomorrow.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, more than 72,000 applications have been filed so far for the government program, which is set to expire on Tuesday.
Muhammad Umar Butt, a spokesman for the ministry, announced that the Government Hajj Scheme will accept applications at specified banks on Monday and Tuesday, the last days for submission.
He noted that for added convenience, candidates can join the Hajj groups of their relatives.
Applicants must pay Rs200,000 in advance and Rs400,000 in installments (including additional services) within ten days after the balloting in order to be eligible for the Regular Hajj Scheme. The deadline for the last payment is February 10.
Additionally, Umar mentioned that Pakistanis living abroad can sponsor applications for the Hajj 2025 for themselves or their loved ones, enabling them to participate in this holy journey through the program.
“This program seeks to support applicants while guaranteeing a smooth and open Hajj procedure,” he said.
The 40th Annual National Hifz and Qirat Competition also began, and Umar invited nominations from all four provinces, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Additionally, the spokesman emphasized that national-level winners will have the opportunity to represent Pakistan in international contests, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills on a worldwide scale.
Umar stated that this year’s competition features distinct categories for boys, girls, and youth, thereby guaranteeing equal opportunities for participants of all ages and from various regions. He underlined the initiative’s goal of advancing Quranic education and encouraging the growth of young talent across the country.
