Arabian Sea Depression to lessen in a region of low pressure off the coast of Oman
According to a forecast report, the depression over the west-central Arabian Sea is weakening over the next several hours and is slowly making its way to the coast of Oman.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the system moved farther westward during the course of the previous ten hours and is currently located approximately 1190 kilometers southwest of Karachi at latitude 16.0N and longitude 60.8E.
Within the last six hours, the weather system has traveled eight kilometers per hour westward, passing 1100 kilometers southwest of Ormara in Baluchistan, 1020 kilometers south of Gwadar, 520 kilometers southeast of Masirah (Oman), and 720 kilometers east of Salalah (Oman).
It is anticipated that by this afternoon, the system would advance further westward towards the coast of Oman and deteriorate into a well-defined region of low pressure.
Roughly until dusk, squally winds with gusts of 30 to 40 km/h and a maximum of 50 km/h are expected in the system’s center.
Per the report, the sea state is expected to stay choppy until the evening and then get better.
It has been recommended that Baluchistani fishermen exercise caution and refrain from venturing out into the deep water until dusk.
The weather system has not put any portion of Pakistan’s coastline in danger.
On Tuesday, most of Sindh’s districts will continue to experience hot, dry weather. However, it is anticipated that in certain locations, Hyderabad, Sujawal, Dadu, Thatta, Karachi, and dust storms would accompany rain and thunderstorms.
Most of Baluchistan’s districts will see Tuesday’s weather as hot and dry as usual. Although there will still be some cloud cover in the southern districts, there is a chance of gusty winds, dust storms, rainfall, and thunderstorms in Lasbela, Gwadar, Jiwani, Kech, Khuzdar, Turbat, and Awaran.
