Arriving in Pakistan to assess Champions Trophy preparations is an ICC team.
The specifics state that the ICC Event Operations team, which consists of Manager Aoun Zaidi and Senior Manager Sarah Edgar, arrived in Karachi to examine the preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025, which is slated to take place in Pakistan.
The management of the National Stadium in Karachi will update the ICC delegation on the preparations for the forthcoming event, while the group from the ICC will examine different areas of the stadium.
It is probable that the ICC mission will also have meetings with law enforcement officials.
In the meanwhile, ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley will accompany the delegation on their tour to Rawalpindi, while the delegation will also make partial visits to the stadiums in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) signed a hosting rights agreement for the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai in December of last year.
The signing of Pakistan’s hosting rights at the ICC headquarters took place, according to a statement, with the participation of ICC General Counsel Jonathan Hall and former PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf.
In its official role, the PCB has already warned the government to ensure that visiting international teams competing for the Champions Trophy have impenetrable protection.

For the uninitiated, the 2024–2031 cycle of international cricket competitions for men and women, including the 2025 and 2029 Champions Trophy editions, was announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in November 2021.
The format of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which consists of eight tournaments, will be the same as in previous years: two groups of four, semifinals, and final.
