As an LHC CJ, Malik Shehzad takes an oath.
During a ceremony on Friday at the Governor’s House in this city, judge Malik Shehzad was sworn in as the chief judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
At the Governor’s House, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman swore in the recently appointed Chief Justice. Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, was also present at the event.
Justices (retd) Khalilur Rehman Ramde of the Supreme Court, Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhary of the Lahore High Court, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi of the Lahore High Court, and Justice Justice, Shahid Bilal Hasan Justice Miss Alia Neelum also participated in the ceremony.
Chief Justice Malik Shehzad arrived at the LHC after taking his oath, when he was formally given a guard of honor.
It is noteworthy that Justice Malik Shehzad’s nomination as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court was authorized by President Arif Alvi.
