As the flood wave reaches Guddu Barrage, Sindh is on high alert.

There is fear of flooding in Sindh’s riverine (katcha) districts as a significant flood wave is predicted to hit Guddu Barrage today (Sunday).
Announcements are being made in Sehwan to urge those living in the river belt to leave the region.
According to Sindh Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla, every preparation has been done to confront the flood wave.
During his visit to the Sukkur Barrage, Sindh Assembly Speaker Syed Owais Qadir Shah stated that as the flood wave reaches the Panjnad and Guddu Barrages, the situation will become more apparent.
Irrigation officials have stated that the Sukkur Barrage is not in danger from the flood and that work is being done at weak spots in the protecting embankments.

While a high-level flood continued at the Head Trimmu in Jhang, water pressure on the Shershah Flood Embankment in Multan remained high.
On Saturday, floodwaters from Punjab moved into Sindh, raising the Indus River’s water levels and raising concerns about potential flooding throughout the state.
The province government is on high alert, according to Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.
5,848 people have received medical attention in the last 24 hours alone, and 121,769 people have been relocated from katcha (riverine) areas to safer areas in an effort to reduce risk. 360,777 persons have been moved overall because of the risk of flooding.
In the impacted districts, 22 boats, rescue crews, medical camps, and relief supplies have been set up.
