As the IMF accord moves forward, Pakistan and China talk about strengthening their economic ties.

During the conversation, Aurangzeb highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s recent staff-level agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and told his Chinese counterpart about it. He emphasized that the international world is becoming more and more supportive of Pakistan’s economic policies.

Updates on the Panda Bonds’ issuance in the Chinese market were also provided by the finance minister of Pakistan. To strengthen financial and economic cooperation, he asked China to back Pakistan’s admission to the New Development Bank.
Aurangzeb welcomed rising interest in industries like agriculture, minerals, and information and communication technology (ICT) and encouraged Chinese investment in Pakistan. In order to strengthen commercial ties, he also invited the Chinese vice minister to come to Pakistan.
