As the PM instructs Kabul to choose between Pakistan and the TTP, 19 troops are martyred.

As Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that the country is united against the threat of terrorism and foreign-sponsored proxies, the military confirmed on Saturday that at least 45 terrorists were killed in counterterrorism operations in various tribal districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, which also resulted in the martyrdom of 19 servicemen.

According to a statement released by the military’s media wing, ISPR, “35 Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell in two separate engagements from September 10-13.” “Fitna al Khwarij” is the official designation given by the government to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its affiliates, who use their safe havens in Afghanistan to conduct operations inside Pakistan.

The ISPR provided a breakdown, stating that security forces in the Bajaur area carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in which troops successfully engaged the Khwarij position and, following a fierce firefight, killed 22 terrorists.

In a different encounter, 13 more Khwarij were eliminated in the South Waziristan district, the statement continued. “However, during intense fire exchange, 12 brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat.” The terrorists who were killed were also found to have weapons and ammo.

During their Saturday visit to Bannu, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also attended the burial prayers for the fallen soldiers. The premier declared that the troops who had died were “true heroes of the nation” and promised that their sacrifices would not be in vain.

In order to find out how the personnel hurt during the operation were doing, he also went to the CMH in Bannu. He praised their bravery, moral character, and commitment, calling them “selfless service to the nation.”

Another IBO was carried out by security forces in the Lower Dir district’s Lal Qilla Maidan region. According to the ISPR, troops successfully attacked the Khwarij site and killed ten terrorists who were funded by India. “However, during the intense fire exchange, seven brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat while saving precious lives of innocent civilians, who were made hostage by Indian-sponsored Khawrij,” it continued.

The names of the fallen soldiers are Naik Gul Jan, 38, of Lakki Marwat; Naik Abdul Jalil, 39, of North Waziristan; Lance Lakki Marwat resident Naik Azmat Ullah, 28, Khyber resident Sepoy Abdul Malik, 28, Malakand resident Sepoy Muhammad Amjad, 27, Swabi resident Sepoy Muhammad Dawood, 23, and Dera Ismail Khan resident Sepoy Fazal Qayum, 21.

The area is undergoing sanitization efforts. “The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve,” stated the ISPR.

According to the military, intelligence files have unequivocally verified that Afghan nationals were physically involved in these horrible deeds. Furthermore, Fitna al Khawarij terrorists’ exploitation of Afghan territory against Pakistan is still a serious cause for concern. Pakistan anticipates that the Interim Afghan government will fulfill its obligations and prohibit terrorists from using its territory against Pakistan.

Pakistan wants to have peaceful relations with all of its neighbors, including Afghanistan, according to the prime minister. But he called on Kabul to clearly decide whether to continue harboring terrorists or to keep good relations with Islamabad.

“Innocent citizens and our security forces have been attacked by Fitna al Khwarij and the outlawed TTP. “Pakistan’s peace will not be undermined by such adversarial forces,” he continued.

Additionally, he declared that the federal cabinet would soon have a crucial meeting to discuss terrorism. “Pakistan’s adversaries cannot force their divisive ideology on our country. Together, we will use all of our strength to destroy them,” he declared.

The prime minister was greeted by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Peshawar corps commander when he first arrived at Bannu Cantt. He received a thorough briefing on the security situation in the area, particularly the dangers presented by proxies supported by India and those who assist them in crossing the western border.

Experts have expressed concern that since US forces left Afghanistan, terrorist activity has increased. Al Qaeda has resurfaced in Afghanistan under Taliban protection, presenting a fresh threat to US and international security, according to a Sept. 12 piece in The Jerusalem Post. With training centers dispersed throughout Afghan provinces and connections to Taliban factions, the group has reconstructed networks, allegedly under the leadership of Hamza bin Laden and Saif al Adel.

The security of Pakistan, other nations in the area, and the United States is directly at risk due to the growing terror network of al Qaeda, the TTP, ISKP, and the Afghan Taliban, according to experts.

They have issued a warning that the TTP is evolving into a transnational terrorist organization that poses a threat to international peace and security. Additionally, the collaboration between the Taliban and al Qaeda is fueling the TTP’s regional expansion. They claimed that Pakistan’s stability and national security are constantly threatened by the terror network.
