At Guddu Barrage, the Indus water level surpasses 6 Lac cusecs.

SUKKUR: The Indus River’s water level has risen above six lac cusecs at Guddu Barrage, according to information released by the barrage control room regarding the river’s intake and outflow.

Sukkur Barrage saw the largest water flow of the year, totaling 4,88,000 cusecs.

The control room reports that the water input and outflow at Guddu Barrage have been 612269 cusecs and 5,82,942 cusecs, respectively.

The Indus River’s intake and outflow at Sukkur Barrage have increased dramatically to 488,890 and 438,399 cusecs, respectively.

Additionally, the water input and outflow in the Indus River were measured at Kotri Barrage downstream at 274,129 and 261,399 cusecs, respectively.

In contrast to yesterday’s recorded data of 575,195 cusecs at Punjnad Headworks, Sindh’s information department said today that the water input and outflow in the river at Punjnad had been recorded at 4,59,963 cusecs.

The floodwater has totally flooded the Kandhkot district’s Katcha sector, submerging hundreds of acres of cotton, rice, and other crops.

The Zamindari Bund near Darbelo has a breach due to flooding in the Indus River. In the Naushahro Feroz area, the river water has infiltrated the villages of Hashim Sial and Tunia, severing the people’ land connection to the city.

Both nearby fields and highways have been flooded by floodwater.
