General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), was visited by Lieutenant General S M Kamr-ul-Hassan, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Armed Forces Division of Bangladesh, and his entourage at the Joint Staff Headquarters (JSHQ).
A press release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here stated that they had a thorough meeting with the chairman of the CJCSC.
Discussions centered on issues of strategic relevance to both countries and looked at ways to further their defense cooperation. The significance of fortifying military ties was underlined by both parties, who also reiterated their resolve to shield this alliance from outside interference.
General Mirza and Lieutenant General Kamr-ul-Hassan concurred that further cooperation is vital to advancing peace, security, and stability in the region.
The two nations have a shared goal for a safe and prosperous future supported by strong defense cooperation, the CJCSC reaffirmed.
Lieutenant General Kamr-ul-Hassan acknowledged the tenacity and commitment demonstrated by the Pakistan Armed Forces, praised their professionalism, and conveyed his profound gratitude for the sacrifices they have made in the war against terrorism.
