Barrister Saif claims that efforts are being made to find a long-term solution to the Kurram conflict.

“The provincial government is dedicated to finding a sustainable and long-term solution to the Kurram issue,” said Barrister Saif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information Adviser.

The Grand Jirga in Kohat will reconvene on Tuesday following a two-day break given for meetings with one of the parties, according to Barrister Saif’s statement.

During today’s talks, he was upbeat about the chances of a deal between the two parties.

“Almost every point has been agreed upon by both parties. Barrister Saif pointed out that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is getting closer to a permanent settlement of this century-old conflict thanks to the efforts of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

He went on to say that the area will be disarmed and there will be enduring peace once the bunkers and weapons are removed.
