Barrister Saif: PECA and the 26th Amendment will backfire on the ruling class

Barrister Saif, the government’s adviser, said on Monday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration was trying to use dark laws to expand its authority.

The 26th Amendment and the Pakistan Electronic Media Prevention Act (PECA), according to Saif’s statement, were attempts to offer protection for election tampering on February 8.

He added that voices would be heard against the unlawful tactics, such as the PECA Act and the 26th Amendment, on February 8.

He said that the government was enacting black legislation through an unfinished parliament on February 8 and that democracy was being damaged by the use of Form 47.

In addition, he invited journalists and people from all walks of life to join the demonstration on February 8.
