BDS disarms a bomb set near the Lakki Marwat bridge.
An improvised explosive device (IED) was set at a bridge in Khan Kalay, which is under the authority of the Tijori police station in the Lakki Marwat region, by criminals who wanted to target the security forces.
The IED bomb device holding 15 kilograms of explosives was defused by the police department’s bomb disposal squad in a timely manner, according to officials.
“The terrorists attacked the security forces by planting a bomb beneath the bridge,” stated district police officer (DPO) Lakki Marwat Jawad Ishaq.
In the district of Lakki Marwat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two police officers were recently slain in a Taliban attack on January 6.
The officers who were killed, Khan Bahadur and Hikmatullah, were traveling to their duty station when they were shot at close to the Jabo Khel area, according to the police.
The attackers had fled after the assault, so the police arrived at the crime scene and began searching for them.
At least three people were shot dead in Lakki Marwat earlier on November 30, 2024, including a Punjab police officer.
Two father-and-son individuals, as well as Sub-Inspector Qadeer Khan, who was based in Faisalabad, were among the victims.
The victims, who were on vacation in Lakki Marwat, were shot by unidentified attackers, according to police reports.
