Because of the severe floods, MDCAT 2025 has been rescheduled.

Due to disastrous floods in parts of Pakistan, the Medical and Dental Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 has been rescheduled by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

The PMDC made the decision in accordance with Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal’s directives amid the severe flooding that has disrupted the nation.

The test, which was initially planned for October 5, has been rescheduled nationwide for October 26.

Situation of Flooding

With water levels once again rising, the River Chenab near Head Panjnad in Punjab is experiencing an exceptionally high-level flood crisis.

Details from the Punjab Flood Forecasting Division indicate that the water discharge at Head Panjnad has surpassed 668,000 cusecs and is heading in the direction of Samka Chachran. Notably, the water level has begun to rise once more since last night, despite the outflow gradually declining over the previous three days.

Similarly, a flood surge of around 200,000 cusecs was approaching Samka Chachran on the River Indus at Taunsa Barrage. Over the last three days, the discharge at the River Chenab’s Trimmu Barrage has slowed. According to the most recent data, a wave of more than 188,000 cusecs is moving from that location toward Head Panjnad and then towards the Indus.

High-level flooding in the River Sutlej is still occurring near Ganda Singh Wala, where the water flow is currently more than 182,000 cusecs. It should be mentioned that for the last three days, India has been dumping water into the Sutlej continually.
