Bilawal: Pakistan cannot afford to impose martial law again.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), stated on Thursday that the country cannot afford to impose martial law once more.

This was spoken by Bilawal Bhutto at a lecture at Oxford University. He claimed that the supremacy of the constitution, an independent judiciary, and journalism are all linked to Pakistan’s destiny.

Bilawal recalled his late mother, Benazir Bhutto, who also attended Oxford University, saying, “I always say that democracy is the best revenge because my mother did not teach me to take revenge.”

According to him, Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life to uphold democracy. Despite numerous attacks, Benazir persisted in her political activism and rose to become the nation’s first female prime minister.

According to Bilawal, Benazir Bhutto was a strong advocate for women’s rights and always sought to improve the situation of women in Pakistan.
