Cement shipments increase by 16% from July to September.

The first quarter of the current fiscal year saw a total of 12.161 million tons of cement dispatches, including both domestic and export sales. This is 16.25% more than the 10.461 million tons sold during the same period previous fiscal year.

Data from the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association shows that shipments to local markets increased by 15.08% from 8.319 million tons in the same quarter of previous year to 9.573 million tons in July-September 2025. With volumes at 2.589 million tons, up from 2.143 million tons the previous year, exports increased by 20.81%. Cement dispatches increased by 7.05% in September 2025 after growing by 31.24% month over month in July 2025 and 13.47% in August 2025. Compared to 3.970 million tons in the same month last year, total dispatches in September came to 4.250 million tons.

“If the government makes tax and duty concessions that will ultimately benefit the end-consumer, we can achieve even better growth,” said an organization spokesman. Due to the severe floods, significant repair work is required, and we anticipate government cooperation.

Local cement dispatches increased by 14.38% from 2.988 million tons in September 2024 to 3.418 million tons in September 2025. Conversely, when supplies decreased from 981,646 tons in September 2024 to 831,966 tons in September 2025, exports fell by 15.25%.

North-based mills sold 3.162 million tons in September 2025, a 16.41% increase over the 2.717 million tons sold in September 2024. 1.09 million tons were shipped by mills in the South, a 13.23% decrease from the 1.253 million tons sold in September of the previous year.

For domestic markets, northern mills supplied 2.941 million tons, a 17.02% increase over the 2.513 million tons supplied in September of the previous year. Compared to 474,528 tons the year before, Southern mills provided 476,465 tons to local markets, an extremely little increase of 0.41%.

In September 2025, shipments from mills in the north increased 8.84% to 221,252 tons, up from 203,280 tons in the same month the previous year. In September 2024, southern exports fell 21.54% to 610,714 tons from 778,366 tons.
