Champions Trophy 2025: Karachi Stadium is undergoing renovations

February 2025 is when the massive event is supposed to start.

According to specifics, destruction is currently taking place between the Naseem-ul-Ghani Enclosure and the Iqbal Qasim Enclosure with the assistance of heavy machinery.

Additionally, the stadium’s manual scoreboard tower is being taken down. The redesigned layout will have media boxes, special seats for broadcasters, and a separate space for commentators.

The media gallery and hospitality boxes will also be built at the new site.

The second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh is set to take place in Karachi later this month. Every day, after the match is over, construction will pick up where it left off.

It is important to note that three major cities in Pakistan—Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi—will host the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 from February to March.

Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa make up Group B, while Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh make up Group A.

Prior to this, media outlets in India claimed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) had “approved” a roughly $70 million budget for Pakistan to host the Champions Trophy 2025 in February and March of the following year.

According to Indian media, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah presided over the ICC’s financial and commercial committee, which approved the budget.
