CM KP and British HC decide to increase their collaboration in the social sector.

On Wednesday, Ms. Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, paid Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur a visit at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar.
The general security situation in the area as well as issues of shared interest were covered during the meeting. Particular attention was paid to continuing public welfare initiatives carried out in the province with British government assistance.
According to an official statement released here, both parties have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration and collaboration in the social sector.
After the SEED and SNG projects were successfully completed, the British High Commissioner announced the start of a new program in the province.
Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur acknowledged the important role that the British Government’s SEED and SNG programs have played in strengthening the capacity of provincial ministries and conveyed gratitude for the support that they have given. He reaffirmed that his government wants to keep up these efforts.
The chief minister outlined the province’s priorities and stated that the government is actively working to rebuild infrastructure devastated by recent floods and is making significant investments to address the problems posed by climate change.
He went on to say that economic growth, in particular the creation of job prospects in the combined districts, is receiving particular attention. The province government is also attempting to digitize official procedures for improved planning and use of development resources in order to guarantee efficiency and openness.
Gandapur emphasized the need of help from foreign partners in these areas and added that stability in Afghanistan is a prerequisite for long-term peace in the region. He underlined that the best way to achieve a long-term solution is through traditional jirgas and discussions.
The chief minister added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been a safe haven for Afghan refugees for many years and still helps them return in dignity. He gave the assurance that Afghan families returning to their motherland are receiving all support the province government can provide.
