COAS Munir is present for the HAIDER tank’s Taxila launch event.
The Chinese ambassador, important representatives of the Chinese state business NORINCO, high ranking officials from the Pakistani government and army, and a number of military and civilian officials from HIT were all present at the event, according to a statement released by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
HIT revealed its new tank, HAIDER, during the event. It was made locally in cooperation with NORINCO China and a number of Pakistani enterprises.
With its exceptional firepower, armor, and maneuverability, HAIDER is a tank fighting machine that exemplifies state-of-the-art technology. HAIDER, which was created using cutting-edge sophisticated technology, is proof of the Pakistani defense industry’s unwavering commitment to achieving excellence in defense innovation.
Gen. Asim Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the HAIDER tank’s technological capabilities as well as the advancements being made toward indigenousization of weapons and armaments.
The commander of the Pakistan Army also toured other production sites in the Heavy Industrial Complex, expressing gratitude for the officers’ and workers’ dedication to achieving yet another technological first.
