CTD eliminates 209 terrorists in KP’s IBOs.
As many as 209 terrorists were slain and 244 were detained during intelligence-based operations around the province during the course of the previous nine months, according to a report released by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) here on Wednesday.
According to the report, throughout the past nine months, 497 terrorist events have occurred in 27 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Of them, 1,154 terrorists affiliated with banned groups were named in First Information Reports (FIRs). Of those implicated, 16 have received punishment from the competent courts thus far.
The province chief minister and governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dera Ismail Khan, is home to 39 terrorists who were murdered in 52 terrorist attacks, according to the CTD report, which shared the specifics. Police made four terrorists into custody.
In a similar vein, the report stated that in 55 occurrences in the Khyber district, 22 criminals were slain and 25 others were detained. It also included 54 terrorism-related incidents that were reported from North Waziristan, where the CTD police apprehended eight people and killed 27 terrorists.

Six terrorist events were recorded in the Shangla region; 33 terrorists were detained and one was killed.
During the time, there were 10 separate terrorist attacks where the CTD police arrested three terrorists and killed two.
In South Waziristan, 39 incidents resulted in the deaths of 11 terrorists and the arrest of one.
In the 39 terrorist occurrences that were reported to the Bajaur region, about five terrorists were killed and eight were taken into custody.
District Bannu saw 40 acts of terrorism, in which 15 terrorists were killed and 21 terrorists were taken into custody.
Two terrorist attacks in district Buner resulted in the deaths of two terrorists, while one incident in district Charsadda left four terrorists detained and four more slain.
According to the CTD, district Lower Dir saw six acts of terrorism, with two individuals being taken into custody. In the same way, nine terrorist occurrences were reported in the area of Hangu, where two terrorists were detained.
Three individuals were taken into custody in Karak in relation to five acts of terrorism. Five occurrences occurred in Kohat, where four terrorists were killed.
17 terrorist acts in District Kurram resulted in the arrest of six terrorists and the death of one. 37 terrorist events in District Lakki Marwat resulted in the deaths of 14 terrorists and the arrest of 8. Four terrorist incidents in Malakand resulted in the arrest of twenty-five militants.
Similarly, in one case of terrorism in the Mansehra district, four individuals were taken into custody. In nine incidents in Mardan, 11 terrorists were killed and 9 were taken into custody.
Eight events were reported in the Mohmand district, resulting in the deaths of six terrorists and the arrest of one. Seven events in the Nowshera district resulted in the capture of five terrorists and the deaths of two.
Six suspects were taken into custody and 28 terrorists were slain by the CTD in 51 terrorist attacks in Tank District.
