Cyclone “Shakti” gets stronger over the Arabian Sea, and the PMD says it will rain in Karachi.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that Cyclone Shakti in the Arabian Sea has grown into a very strong cyclonic storm.
The PMD says that the storm is now roughly 390 km south-southwest of Karachi. The Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre has sent out its sixth advisory, warning of possible effects along Pakistan’s coast.
The department said that the cyclone is likely to move west and southwest over the following 24 hours. After that, it will change direction to the east and northeast and start to diminish.
There may be light to moderate rain and thunder in Sindh’s coastal districts, including as Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and Jamshoro. Some sections of Karachi may also get rain.
More rain is coming, and India is letting water out, according to PDMA Punjab.
The PMD has told fishermen to stay away from deep-sea fishing until October 5 to keep people and property safe. Residents of Karachi’s coast have been told to be careful because rain and severe winds are forecast in the next several days.
The National Disaster Management Authority has also said that there would be rain in several sections of the country over the next twelve hours.
The National Emergencies Operation Centre of NDMA told people to avoid travelling in the mountains unless they have to because of the potential of landslides. They also told people to stay up to date through radio, TV, and the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert app, and to obey the orders of local authorities.
