Details of the West Indies tour to Pakistan are announced by PCB.

On Tuesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the itinerary for the two ICC World Test Championship matches that the West Indies men’s cricket team would be playing.

The PCB has confirmed that the West Indies cricket squad would arrive in Islamabad on January 6 and begin their campaign with a practice match against the Pakistan Shaheens at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on January 10–12.

Pakistan will play the West Indies in two consecutive Test matches in Multan. The dates of the first Test are January 17–21, and the dates of the second Test are January 25–29.

This will be the West Indies’ first Test trip of Pakistan in 19 years. Their last Test series away from Pakistan was in the United Arab Emirates in October 2016, and they last played three Test matches there in November 2006. The West Indies, however, have made three trips to Pakistan since April 2018: twice for the T20I series (April 2018 and December 2021) and once for the ODI series (June 2022).

In the ICC Test Championship rankings, Pakistan is now ranked No. 07 with little chance of making it to the final, while the West Indies is ranked No. 09 last.

Timetable for the tour

January 10–12, three-day match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

January 17–21, first test at Multan Cricket Stadium

Second Test, January 25–29, at Multan Cricket Stadium
