According to specifics, the province’s government has decided to close five more divisions’ schools and colleges due to the worsening pollution conditions.
A notification was released by the Environmental Protection Department directing the closure of educational establishments in the divisions of Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and Sahiwal.
From November 13 to 17, all schools from kindergarten through grade 12, as well as academies and tuition centers, will be closed, according the instruction.
Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad division closures will also remain in place as the Punjab government attempts to mitigate the serious environmental impact on public health.
In the past, the district government of Lahore prohibited outdoor activities in response to the growing pollution menace.
Outdoor activities will be suspended from November 11 to November 17, the DC Lahore announced in a notification.
According to the notification, religious gatherings are exempt, but all sports, exhibitions, and activities are halted, as is dining outside of restaurants.
Additionally, marketplaces, malls, and shops will close by 8 PM, but grocery stores, pharmacies, gasoline stations, and labs will not be affected.
The only areas that large department stores are allowed to remain open are the grocery and medical sections.
