During the 26th constitutional amendment case hearing, the SC bench was dissolved.

The Supreme Court bench adjudicating the 26th constitutional amendment case was disbanded during the proceedings. The case was under the purview of a three-member bench, led by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah. During the session, Justice Shah noted that Justice Aqeel Abbasi had previously rendered a judgment on this issue in the Sindh High Court, rendering it unsuitable to advance the case on this day (Thursday). Justice Shah further indicated that a new bench would be necessary to proceed with the case. The hearing has been rescheduled for Monday, with Justice Irfan Saadat Khan remaining part of the original panel. The Additional Attorney General sought additional time for preparation, to which Justice Ayesha Malik replied that the request would be reconsidered once the case is set for Monday. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Attorney General’s Office for assistance in the matter and has adjourned the hearing until Monday.
