Eight fatalities occurred when a mini-truck struck individuals sleeping by the roadside in Shikarpur.

At least eight individuals, including five children, were murdered and five others were injured after a mini-truck struck individuals resting by the roadside in Shikarpur late Friday night.

The disaster transpired in the vicinity of Kundan Chourangi in Shikarpur, where a mini-truck loaded with onions and potatoes veered off the road after hitting with an electric pole, subsequently running over individuals sleeping by the roadside.

At least eight individuals were murdered instantly, while five others sustained critical injuries. Five children were included among the fatalities.

Law enforcement and rescue personnel arrived at the location and transported the deceased and injured to the hospital. The police have confiscated the mini-truck, while the driver successfully fled the area following the incident.
