Elections for deputy speaker and speaker of the KP Assembly have been released.
According to the specifications, the newly elected members of the KP Assembly will take the oath of office during the first session, which is set to begin on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
After taking an oath, the newly elected members will sign the attendance register in accordance with the KP Assembly’s order of business.
Nomination forms for the two positions must be sent in by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. The secretariat further stated that nomination papers may be withdrawn until Wednesday at 11 p.m.
It is anticipated that the provincial assembly’s elections for speaker and deputy speaker will take place on Thursday.
At the same time, the newly elected members of the Balochistan Assembly will be sworn in on February 28 at 3 p.m.
A notice from the assembly secretariat stated that Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has convened the first-ever KP Assembly session for February 28. This was earlier on February 24.
The KP Assembly session has been called for February 28 at 11 a.m., according to the announcement.
It said that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Constitution, Article 65, shall be followed when administering the oath to legislators.
