FAFEN publishes an electoral tribunal performance report.

The performance report on election tribunals has been made public by the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN).

In January 2025, election tribunals decided 11 further petitions, increasing the total to 112 — or 30% of all petitions filed, according to FAFEN’s report.

The majority of cases were handled in Karachi, Bahawalpur, and Lahore. With 371 petitions being processed by tribunals nationwide in late 2024, the report observed a rise in conflict resolution.

The nine tribunals in Punjab made decisions on 45 out of 192 petitions, while the tribunals in Balochistan settled 41 out of 51 cases.

Constituencies in Sindh, KP, and the National Assembly made less progress. 38 tribunal rulings have also been appealed to the Supreme Court.
