Fatemi meets with leaders of the US Congress to talk about bilateral relations.

Key members of the US Congress met with Tariq Fatemi, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs.

In-depth talks on bilateral collaboration, economic connections, and Pakistan-US relations were held throughout the meetings.

The US leaders received a briefing from the Special Assistant regarding the policies of the Pakistani government, namely its economic priorities.

Promoting bilateral investment and commerce is one of Pakistan’s top priorities, Tariq Fatemi underlined.

He previously spoke at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a well-known US think tank in Washington, DC, where he emphasized the importance of more US investment in Pakistan’s infrastructure, textile sector, and human resource development.

He restated the two nations’ long-standing historical ties with one another. He urged American investors to travel to Pakistan and seize the investment prospects there.

He called on the US to support economic growth, healthcare, and education in order to turn bilateral collaboration into a long-term, mutually beneficial alliance.
