Following three days of violent protests, AJK is back to normal.

Normalcy restored in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) after three days of violent protests as first round of negotiations between a high-level team selected by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif and Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) were held in Dhirkot on Thursday. Thursday marked the successful conclusion of the first round of talks between the Joint Awami Action Committee and federal ministries. Following two hours of negotiations, the committee leaders held additional consultations in Dhirkot. The Joint Awami Action Committee and the delegation from the Government of Pakistan are scheduled to start their second round of negotiations on Friday afternoon, according to reports. Senior Joint Awami Action Committee leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir and other JAAC members traveled to Dhirkot and had in-depth discussions with the core committee members. Tonight, the plan for the second round of negotiations will be decided. After Shaukat Nawaz Mir and others arrive in Muzaffarabad today after Friday prayers, the second round of negotiations will begin, according to sources. In Muzaffarabad, a high-level negotiation team made up of federal ministers is already in place.
