Formally, PTI chooses to join the judicial commission.

Members of the judicial commission from both chambers of parliament have been nominated by the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI). The proposal to join the judicial commission was unanimously supported by the political committee’s session, according to the statement.

The letter of the Speaker of the National Assembly with the opposition’s nomination of two members was presented to the PTI’s political committee meeting.

Judges of the Supreme Court, other courts, and the Federal Shariat Court would be appointed by the Judicial Commission, the session was informed. The annual performance report will be compiled and the judges’ performance in the high courts will be monitored.

In addition to forming the benches of the high court and supreme court, the JCP would have broad authority to suggest candidates for high court judges.

The 13-member JCP will make decisions with a simple majority of members, and the absence of any member will not affect the credibility of the commission’s judgment. The commission’s 1/3 members may be required to attend its sessions.

After being approved by the PTI’s political committee, the decision would be sent to the party’s Core Committee for support before being approved by the founding chairman.

After receiving formal consent from the founder of the PTI, the session also decided to announce the party’s two names for the JCP.
