Hamid Raza of the Sunni Ittehad Council proposes that PTI step down from assembly.
Sunni Ittehad Council chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza has advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders who joined his party for the elections to think about resigning from their assembly.
In an article on the social networking site X (formerly Twitter), the head of the Sunni Ittehad Council stated that if PTI Founder Imran Khan did not receive justice in the upcoming weeks, the PTI leadership would have to step down from the assemblies and march to the streets.
We aren’t sitting in assembly to give this government a break; if Imran Khan isn’t given justice in the upcoming weeks, PTI leadership needs to think about quitting and taking to the streets. My resignation from the National Assembly for IK will be the first.

Given the likelihood of Imran Khan’s imprisonment, he questioned the purpose of attending assemblies. They threatened to boycott assemblies in order to deny this government “a breathing space” if the previous prime minister was not granted justice promptly.
“I will be the first one to resign from the National Assembly for Imran Khan,” said Raza.
