Hassan Nawaz has been declared bankrupt by a UK court.

Hassan Nawaz, son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif, has been officially declared bankrupt by the London High Court on Sunday.

The decision followed a tax action initiated against him by the UK’s tax and revenue authority.

The bankruptcy declaration relates to case number 694, filed in 2023. The legal proceedings commenced on August 25, 2023, and have already resulted in the court’s ruling.

This decision has attracted attention due to Hassan Nawaz’s notable background and the persistent examination of his financial transactions in Pakistan and internationally.

In accordance with UK law, a bankruptcy order is an essential element of the personal insolvency procedure. It is a court-issued declaration of an individual’s bankruptcy. Bankruptcy orders are published in the London Gazette solely upon receipt from The Insolvency Service.
