IBO: ISPR Kills Four TTP Terrorists in North Waziristan

Four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists, also known as Khawarij, were killed by Pakistani security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the North Waziristan region of Spinwam, the military’s media arm reported on Wednesday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the four militants were killed after a heavy gunfight during the operation.

Their involvement in terrorism activities, including as attacks on foreign security forces and the targeted killings of innocent people, was further supported by the ISPR’s confirmation that weapons and ammunition were taken from the deceased Khawarij.

As Pakistan’s security forces continue to be steadfast in their resolve to eradicate terrorism from the region, the military’s media wing also stated that the current cleanup effort in the area is intended to eradicate more of these militants.

A string of successful attacks against terrorist elements in the nation preceded this most recent operation. Security personnel conducted two separate operations around Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, neutralizing eight foreign nationals.

Security personnel killed six foreigners in Tank during the initial operation, which was based on actionable intelligence. Another operation in Khyber District’s Tirah Valley resulted in the neutralization of two more foreigners.
