IHC orders the de-sealing of KP House

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, via the Secretary Administration, submitted a plea to unseal the KP House pending the ultimate resolution of the matter.

The petitioner contended that the sealing of the KP House, a provincial government asset, is unlawful. The petitioner has asserted that the confiscation of official cars following the sealing of the KP House is unlawful.

Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Justice Aamer Farooq, presided over the petition. The court, following the preliminary arguments, mandated the de-sealing of the KP House.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has shut some blocks of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House Islamabad.

The sealing operation was conducted by Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif. During the operation, the CDA locked KP House blocks A and B. The officials stated that C block remained unsealed due to the presence of families residing there.

Additionally, guest rooms at the KP House Islamabad have been locked due to ‘regulatory violations.’
