Imran Khan refuses to be released by executive order: SherAfzal marwat
Sher Afzal Marwat, a member of the National Assembly and the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), declared that Imran Khan will not request his release by an executive order.
Speaking on Dunya News’ Tonight with Samar Abbas show, Marwat stated that a delay in the £190 million reference case verdict would be encouraging.
Marwat disclosed that Imran Khan had spoken with Barrister Gohar of the establishment about a house arrest deal.
He said that he did not ask Salman Akram Raja for permission to make such accusations and that all of his assertions were based on statements made by Imran Khan himself.
The PTI leader said that there was no such legal provision and rejected the idea of utilizing an executive order to free Khan.
He claimed that Khan had set January 31 as the deadline for completing negotiations and criticized the administration for using written demands as a political weapon to assert legitimacy.
Imran Khan would be freed in the next two and a half months, Marwat said with confidence.
