In 14 districts of Sindh, voting for the LG by-election has begun.

Voters have started to cast ballots for 28 local government seats in Sindh’s 14 districts as part of the by-elections.

Voting will go on unhindered until 4:00 pm, having begun at 8:00 am.

The Election Commission of Sindh reports that the polling process started off amicably and that voter participation proceeded without incident in every district.

Voting in the by-elections is open to 243,187 registered voters in total. There are 110,154 female voters and 133,038 male voters in this group.

In addition to the three districts of East, West, and Keamari in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Matiari, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Badin, and Thatta are also holding elections.

In order to prevent any undesirable situations, strict security measures have been implemented at all polling locations, according to the spokesperson for the Sindh Election Commissioner.

A control center has been established to oversee the elections, according to Ejaz Anwar Chohan, the provincial election commissioner for Sindh. Until the results are received and processed, the control room will continue to operate.
