In DI Khan, a car plunges into a ravine, killing eleven members of a family.

Eleven people were killed when a vehicle fell into a gorge at Dana Sar in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday. 

According to rescue officials, the tragic accident occurred at Dana Sar in DI Khan, where a vehicle plunged into a ravine after its brakes failed.

As a result, 11 people lost their lives while 3 others were injured. The accident took place while the vehicle was traveling from Khanozai to Dera Ismail Khan.

Officials stated that the deceased all belonged to the same family.

The injured and all the bodies have been shifted to the hospital after legal formalities. 

Police confirmed the victims included women, children, and three men, while three injured received first aid on site before being shifted to a hospital.

Local residents joined police and emergency teams in the rescue operation.

Fatal accidents remain frequent in Pakistan due to poor road conditions and lax enforcement of traffic rules.

In May, five policemen, including Assistant Director Zakir Awan and IG’s Reader Ali Bukhari, were killed when their car plunged into a ravine in Dhirkot, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
