In Karachi, a former UC chairman was shot dead.
The deceased, 65-year-old Amanullah Afridi, was a Baldia Town native and a former UC chairman, according to authorities. In the most recent municipal elections, he ran as a candidate from UC-5, Abidabad.
When Amanullah Afridi was leaving the mosque after praying Fajr, he was attacked close to Baldia No. 7, according to the police.
A crime scene team and the police had also been brought in to look into the situation. As of right now, no one has been arrested, and the authorities are still looking into the incident.
Earlier, in a similar upsetting occurrence that was reported from Karachi, some unknown people in the North Nazimabad region shot and killed a man.
The victim was identified by police as Fazal Zaman. A letter from the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) requesting permission for commercial shops was discovered in the victim’s car, which led authorities to suspect that the individual may be involved in the real estate industry.
Documents found on the victim indicate that the event may have been connected to personal animosity, according to SSP Zeeshan Shafiq.
