In Kurram, bunker destruction starts as food and fuel shortages

Destroying tribal bunkers in Lower Kurram in compliance with the Apex Committee’s directives has marked a significant step towards reestablishing peace in Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

One bunker each in Khar Klay and Balish Khel was destroyed by heavy machinery, according to sources.

A sizable force was sent in, and gunship helicopters carried out aerial patrols to maintain security during the operation.

The deputy commissioner for Kurram announced the demolition of the bunkers, and the Grand Jirga decided to demolish all of the bunkers in the district.

Meanwhile, there were acute shortages of basic supplies in Parachinar, including food, gasoline, and petroleum products. There were reports that more than 80 supply trucks were prepared to leave Tal to deal with the situation.
