In Pakistan, the price of gold is Rs 241,000 per tola.
Ten grams of 24 carat gold cost Rs600 more than 10 grams of 22 carat gold, which jumped to Rs189,400 from Rs188,850, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
Between Rs 2,820 and Rs 2,417.70, the price of silver per tola and ten grams stayed the same.
As per the Association, the price of gold on the global market went up by $10, reaching $2,336 from $2,326.
Notably, the price of gold in the local market hit a record high of Rs252,200 a tola back in April.
The international market’s swings, which mirror the dynamics of global supply and demand for the precious metal, are a major factor driving changes in gold prices.
