In Uzbekistan, PM Shehbaz presented the guard of honor.

A cordon of honor was given to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday as he arrived at the Tashkent Congress Center to meet with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and conduct delegation-level negotiations.

The prime minister was welcomed with open arms by the Uzbek president when he arrived at the location of the official welcoming reception.

After the finely dressed contingents of the Uzbek military forces performed the guard of honor, the prime minister and President Mirziyoyev reviewed the national anthems of Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev later introduced their delegations to one another before the bilateral meeting and delegation-level discussions began.

The talks will center on strengthening Uzbekistan-Pakistan cooperation in the areas of energy, trade, investment, regional connectivity, defense, security, stability, and education.

On a two-day official visit, the prime minister arrived here Tuesday. He was joined by Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Investment and Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, and PM Tariq Fatemi’s Special Assistant.
