Inflows into the Roshan Digital Account reach $8.416 billion in July 2024.

As compared to US$ 200 million in June and US$ 224 million in May 2024, the data indicated that remittance inflows during July were recorded at US$161 million.

For the millions of Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) who wish to conduct banking, payment, and investment activities in Pakistan, these accounts offer cutting-edge financial options, including those for holders of Non-Resident Pakistan Origin Card (POC).

Furthermore, from 712,778 accounts in June 2024 to 723,598 accounts in July 2024, the number of accounts registered under the program increased by 10,820.

Indian nationals living abroad invested US $357 million in Naya Pakistan Certificates, US $618 in Naya Pakistan Islamic Certificates, and US $39 million in Roshan Equity Investment at the end of July.

In an effort to make it easier for Pakistanis living abroad to invest in and transfer money home, the State Bank launched the Roshan Digital Account.

Recall that in September 2020, former prime minister Imran Khan initiated the Roshan Digital Account initiative, which sought to offer digital banking services to Pakistanis living abroad for the first time.
